foresters grove

Lavington N.S.W.

National Foresters Grove Reserve is a memorial park located in Lavington, NSW.

The park underwent a complete playspace redevelopment with the demolition of an existing outdated smaller play area to replace with a more functional layout and a greater range of play equipment items.

This project features extensive use of concrete, with new paths, skate-able insitu concrete seating walls, retaining walls, and a multipurpose area for handball, skate and scooter play, and half basketball court forming a central flexible space.

ECS also installed a shade sail structure over the new play module, a new drinking fountain, new outdoor fitness equipment including wetpour rubber surfacing, and all softfall mulches and landscaping.

Memorial plaques were previously located on a dated 1970’s cream brick plinth at the carpark entrance. As part of the redevelopment works, ECS relocated these to a new seating wall further into the reserve , with the new location overlooking the pond for much improved reflection area for visitors.

Refurbishment of existing shade shelters and picnic furniture to integrate into the new works have seen a tired space transform into a vibrant and popular community hub.
